Dane started his career at a respected shop in Carrollton, Ga. in the summer of 2001. This experience gave him a solid foundation to advance into a busy shop in Atlanta that further honed his skills. While there he became interested in pursuing a more formal foundation in the arts that lead him to seek his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of West Georgia in the Department of Art. He opened Mama Tried Tattoo in 2010 while continuing his education at UWG. His artistic endeavors are focused more on print making and photography while his tattooing interests lay in various forms of realism as well as covering and fixing undesirable tattoos.
